A visit with Sophie	Permalink Closed

After her talk with Ash that morning she felt drained....She needed to let things sink in before she was to understand most of them.So with promises that she would meet him at the hookah and go home to the pack house she left...Jumped in the capts old beat up ford and drove down to Carnival. Sophie had alays had a way to make her see things clearly....Or more then she could on her own. Pulling into the littered parking lot she would shut off the rust bucket..As she formally dubbed it...And would make for the large tent where most of the side show acts and carnies gathered.Their loud laughter and voices made her smile..Their crude banter reminded her of the french market back in the quarter. Or even on the Molly. Ignoring the cat or wolf calls..depended on who did it she would move to the small sophie who sat with the bearded lady...Silent would offer each of the women kisses and hugs before asking Sophie for a little alone time. On the walk to the tent Sophie and her mother shared Silent would explain alot of what had been happen in her life...Leaving out those things that were too personal....Or wasnt right to share with anyone let alone a stranger...Sophie would listen in silence..Nodding at some points...But not asking questions. Only speaking when they arrived at her tent. "Momma said their was a storm brewing.....This may be it." .Silent didn't know what to say to her comment....Sophie's mother saw things that Silent could never dream of seeing..Things that scared Silent...Sophie did too...But their advice was something Silent treasured. Belived in. Moving to sit in one of old beat up chairs that just fit that rustic look of her tent...And watched Sophie as she moved about preparing things for the reading....Speaking in hushed tones to her mother..Doing things she never would do for some person who wandered into her tent on a whim for entertainment. To Silent watching these things was a honor...And she didnt speak...Not wanting to break the magic that the two women created. With cards in her hands Sophie sat as she handed the old deck to Silent.After a few moments of shuffling she would hand them back to Sophie. Sitting back she would watch as the cards were place.....Silent had spent enough time in the square to have a slight idea to what some of the cards ment....Once they were laid out Sophie would start to speak. "Momma says you've grown in power since Salem....And with the power has come a burden you cant handle alone...The cards say the same...That you carry a burden that will break you if you dont come to a middle ground with." Bryce.Its the only burden she carried that sought to drive her mad...That seemed to be the driver on this run away roller coaster that was the munin. Silent would nod some before asking how she could deal with this problem.A answer that would take more cards. "Two holy men....One of orange and black....Who knows a true peace. I dont know who he is...The cards are never that detailed. But he will be the one to help you gain control of these new gifts...Teach you how to become less....Well....Chaotic. The other is one who is of darkness..Who walks between the this life and the next...Momma says he's already a part of you....Though she doesnt know how. But he will help you come to control the burden that you carry....The one whose laughter and taunts you in your head. There is another....A woman....But Im not sure exactly where she comes in...Nor do I know anything about her yet.Only that she will reveal herself in time...But she will be a danger to you....And your path of becoming at peace." The glaze that had covered her dark brown hues would fade as she fell back in her seat. Tapped.Pulling some money from her wallet she would place it on the small table between them....It wasnt something Silent had to do....But it was a patron gift.Thanking Sophie before she fell into a deep slumber in her chair. Grabbing the throw blanket from the stool at the base of sophies mothers bed she would cover the small seer. As she walked to the truck she turned the womans words over in her mind....A holy man of orange and black....One who knew true peace...Silent could only think...Orange and black...That had to be the tigers...And two male tigers....Adam and Lucien....But Lucien wasnt exactly at peace not yet....But Adam....It had to be him. Next was the other man...She said he walked between this life and the nezt...Beaver? Oh dear god she hoped not...That man was insane....But it couldnt be him....Because the one to help her was one who lived in darkness....Not a padded room. So it had to be a vampire.... Starting up the rust bucket she would go over the vampires who she knew about..The part about them being part of her narrowed it down to three. Marcus...Because he was part of Ash and Evie...Two people who were a big part of herself.But he didnt walk between the Veil. The next was Tino....No matter how far she was from him....As long as he lived and Bryce was apart of her....Tino would always hold his own part of her. But it couldnt be him.Tino was powerful....And alot of things...But he still just remained a creature of lust....Then it hit her Azrael. While he was someone who always lingered in her thoughts...He was a stranger. He was part of her still..Even as she felt him slipping away more everyday.Felt the marks they shared closing.Would he help her? Did he still feel her? Feel the chaotic storm that she was?Only one way to tell....Pulling the truck to the shoulder of the road she would call Ash...Telling him about what Sophie had told her....Once she hung up with Ash...Adam was next...And since he wasnt around she left a message with the tattooed tigress for him. Then it was to Bliss she went...To leave a message for one who walked between this life and the next. __________________ Tame the Beast in Me
