Making Room

Llidya had picked out one of the smallest rooms at the pack house, as she didn't have much with her. Not much was an old service bag packed with a week's worth of faded jeans, button up shirts, and undergarments. That was all she'd brought with her to the islands, in the Hummer with her anyhow. But she'd made a few phonecalls just a few days ago, and had bought some land so she could get the rest of her most precious possessions with her on the island. Only a couple of days later, she had her baby. She was riding high, sitting behind the wheel of her precious 1967 Chevrolet Impala. It was in almost mint condition, sleek black with only minimal scratches and rust spots. Llidya didn't mind though, she thought all that gave it character.

She pulled up to the pack house, Something Inside by Jonathan Rhys Meyers fading out before she killed the engine. She'd been listening to it all morning, it was a good song. Llidya stepped out of the car, the old door groaning in protest. She was in her usual jeans, a white button up, and boots. The bomber jacket laid on the passenger seat, as Hawaii was just too hot to wear it all the time. Her dark strawberry blond waves were pulled tight into that French braid. Her beast moved with her more, since the Eliot thing, but it was still obvious that they weren't in total syncopation. But they got along more, any lycan would be able to tell, especially if they'd seen Llidya with her beast before hand. Her cell phone rang as she reached the porch.

Llidya reached up with one hand to push her shades atop her hair and the other to lift that little piece of technology to her ear.

"Chapman."

"Hey Chapman. How's the car?"

"Awesome, thanks for that rush. I couldn't stand driving that Hummer." She'd shipped it back on the same freight her Impala had come in on. She smiled, glad she had someone like Mike Servino working for her.

"Hey it's what you pay me for. Listen, the guys got to your little piece of land yesterday, and started building. Should be done in a couple more days. You only wanted the New York style in-city building, right?"

Llidya was nodding as she stepped through the door. "Yeah, don't need anything else. Don't think the heat is good for any of my close projects. I got Jackyboy sending me dailies. Once you guys'll get the equipment hooked up, it'll be a piece of cake. You sure it'll be done in only a couple more days?"

"Hey, if that guy on Extreme Makeovers can build a fully functional house in a week, we can build you a warehouse in a couple of days, no problem. And we'll have the rest of your stuff in there." He sounded a bit cocky on the other end, made Chapman smile. His attitude was exactly why she hired him, because he usually pulled through.

"Alright Mike. Call me if you guys hit any hang ups. And I want a balcony!" She added as an afterthought. She didn't see anyone around in the house, everyone must be at work or something. They'd be back soon enough. Llidya pulled open a cabinet in the kitchen, looking for some chips or something.

"Yes ma'am. We'll get right on that. Talk to you later Chapman." Llidya flipped the phone closed, sliding it back into her pocket.

She found some steak, a lot of steak, actually. That'd be perfect...she started pulling down some spices and started working on sides. The meal was mainly for her and Dakota, whom she knew would be home soon. But the house was packed with werewolves, and so Llidya made sure there would be plenty. She then heard the clearing of a throat, and turned around to see Mamma, as the pack had dubbed her. Probably wondering what the hell she was doing in her kitchen.

"'ey I like to cook too..." She said in her defense, knowing and liking how the woman was. "I'll clean up, swear." She promised. Mamma gave her a look like she didn't quite believe it, but then walked up and started helping her with the preparations without even needing to ask.

Llidya grinned, continuing on her task. But her thoughts turned back to one of her oldest friends. Dakota had been acting a bit strange lately, a bit...like she was holding back on something. And it felt like her powers. Well, Llidya had talked to her a bit about how Necromancer's and Animator's powers worked. She had a pretty good idea of what was going on. So her plan was to sit her down, and tell her to basically get her ass in gear and go raise something harmless before she woke up half the cemetaries on the island.

Days have seemed to run by as fast as minutes in an hour. Anna pressed her hands to the cold cement to push her off the ground that she fell upon. The idea of living in the pack house was comferting, but there was the slightest feeling of doubt on her part. She hadn't been in the house long enough to meet anyone really, that except Ask, Mahina, Dylan and a few others. Maybe it was good that she was here and not dead in the park.

Anna stood and stepped on the back flap to pop the board up with ease into the curve of her palm. She took the board by the Y of the wheels and went to slide threw the sliding glass but caught sight of Mamma. A woman she never wanted to get on the bad side of. She smiled and waved and left the dinning room to put her skate board down. The smell of someone cooking and Mamma watching made her a tad uneasy, but she'd get over it. Anna slipped carefree agaisnt a wall to peek around the corner at Llidya. She crecognized her form when Ash introduced Anna to Mahina. "Hello."

Lyliyana looked from the piece of paper to the house. She was sure it was the right place, and so she bounced up to the front door, a large picnic basket in her arms, with Mr. Grey sticking out the top. She knocked on the door, smiling broadly. The basket smelled of all sorts of goodies, from chocolate chip cookies and apricot glazed truffles to a blueberry pie. Llidya had told her where to go, and she would get to see Mahina and Coyote again.

She was in a light blue dress that fell just past her knees, it was very Grace Kelley, the styling of it. It fell in short sleeves at the top and flaired out slightly towards the bottom. Sandals graced her feet and her hair was pulled up into a French twist. The door opened and she smiled up at Llidya as she bounced into the door.

"I brought desserts!" She told her with a giggle. She could smell the steaks marinating in the kitchen as soon as she walked into the door. She set down the basket, and went to hunt down Mahina, one of her new best friends. She knew that Mr. Grey would watch over and make sure no one ate their desserts early.

Lives change at the blink of an eye. Any moment something can happen and ripped the ones you hold most dear right out of your life! Other times someone could dip in to your memories, sift though your mind as if it was just a casual stroll though the park to bring your worst nightmares back to haunt you. There is no escaping with the past comes back to haunt you even in your sleep.

Work was always busy, even when there were no active craziness going on there was always a bag log of files and cases to look in to. Or petty crimes, like some underage telepathy using his natural abilities to steal back account numbers. Was difficult just to get though a full shift with out letting the veneer crack, give away every weakness and cower in a corner somewhere to ball her eyes out or snap any one for just saying hello. It was a day in and day out routine.

One Author P McGenty had been risen from a near by grave just before sun set, and that was hours ago. It was her last stop of the day before heading back to the pack house. So why was she still sitting here in a grave yard? So few of truly old burial sites in Hawaii, it had taken her only three days to visit every cemetery on every island after they had all left Salem to relocate to the tropics. She hated this place! It broke her heart not to be surrounded by the smell of Evergreens and Gray ocean winds of the Massachusetts Coast line.

Memphis was here, so here she stayed pretending to be happy and content with the move. The only times she was ever really happy any more was when she was with him. Some How Harry made every thing better, made her forget for just a little while that the world was a cold empty dark place. Inside something was broken, and each day she held it all pent up inside another fraction crept in to the very foundation of her Sanity.

Had been four years, not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things. But she had those four years to learn to hide from the pain, hide from the nightmare so she would forget about it. Lilith has busted the chains, shattered carved marble and cold hard iron to dig up those Memories. Within the mind, every waking moment she saw it happen over and over again. The gun shot, the smell of gunpowder, and blood rancid and sweet in the air. The sound the water made spilling out of the tap, over flowing the bat tub till it spilled over the edges flooding the bathroom out in to the hall. But the voice had changed....

Shy Violet, Rebeca Marcs always called her daughter My little shy violet. The sweet honey coated sound of her mothers voice had been twisted, ripped apart and used as a tool against her. The burning pain was as fresh now as it had been then, when the bitch had been put in her gave and Kota... had been forgotten. Every one had their crosses to bare, but the people she needed were not there to lean on, they never asked if she was ok, she hide it well or they were blind. Silent, of all people Kota wanted most. They had once been so close, but rarely spoke. They had been akin in a way, and knew so little of each other. Why she missed the colorful wolf? Not even she could answer that question.

Crickets chirped off in the distance going silent when she moved. Sliding off the top of a head stone where she had perched herself among the company of the dead. She was due home a while ago and had not answered her phone in over two hours.

-----------------------

Sound of the front door clicking shut was about all the noise she made coming inside. She could hear people talking, smell food cooking but none of it truly appealed to her. Someone was watching TV and Mamma was already coming around the corner caring a laundry basket about ready to ask her how she was, tell her she needed to eat something before she wasted away to nothing. One look, ghostly violet eyes leveled on the wonderful old woman and Mamma shut her mouth before uttering a sound.

Kota nodded her thank you, stripping off the long cashmere and instantly she wanted to put it back on. The house felt so cold all the time, everywhere felt cold these days. Shoes and stress stay at the door, a Marcs Family rule, she was only holding up to half of that today, leaving her shoes on the little rack out of the way. Nylon covered feet shuffled across the floor. She did not even bother to go upstairs and get undressed. Black slacks dry cleaner pressed, a silk blouse in white held a small clover on the color was about all the color she wore. A light weight matching blazer jacket hid sight of the shoulder rig but did nothing to mask the outline of twin colts strapped at her sides.

Not a word, walking out side on to the back patio and out in to the yard after she made a stop at the fridge for a beer. The Grass felt good under her feet, cold, the slight dampness sinking in to the gauzy material on her feet. Nightly ritual now, had been for weeks. Coming home, shower, change, a beer out in the yard sitting under a tree on the other side of the pool watching the fire flies blink in and out of sight.

Mahina about 5 minutes ago was upstairs within her room moving everything in it's place she was just taking care of the last of her bags. Carrying the laundry basket out and taking care of each stack to each room her last stop was the Freki's laundry. Each item was placed  away and the last of hanging laundry. Each took turns doing laundry for everyone, Mamma kept the list and made sure everyone followed it, each helping out. So today it was Mahina's turn and she already had the rest of the pack's put away and the last of Memphis's things were placed in drawers and she was hanging up the last Hawaiian print shirt she ironed for him. Soft smile was placed, she really needed to cross paths with the Freki and give him a proper thank you for healing her first before Ashes did. Another one she was indebted to. Turning his light off, she was out in the hall when the smell of someone cooking filter her nostrils and her stomach growled as if it were a wolf in protest.

As she was heading down the steps, Chapman's scent came and so did Anna Marie's but another was there, she will pay her respects to her packmates and to the one she is sponsoring but her angel was here! and that person had the hawaiian squealing her name "LEE ANN!!!" was her new nickname from Mahina and she was steeping quickly to her and hugged. Oh seeing her again had the hawaiian emotional. It was hard to not stop thinking of that night, when all Mahina saw was her beautiful angelic face after blinking and it was so faint, after coming back from almost death. It was the last image she saw before passing out. She was responisble for Mahina's second chance at life. Hugging the petite femme. "Oh Dear! I have something for you and My. Gray!" she was lightining fast up the stairs and then back down she came and placed a wooden beaded necklace around the healer's neck. In soft browns, pearled white and rich black beads that gave off a prism of colors in the light and dangling off the necklace was a hand carved from palm tree bark, plumeria and hand painted in colors of peach, red, pink and white. A matching smaller version was draped over the gray bunny's neck.

"I've missed you, How have you been?"

Llidya looked up at the wolf, and gave her a smile. She stopped with the steaks, and picked up a bowl of potatoes. She grabbed the wolf gently by her elbow, and sat her down at the table.

"Hiya Anna Marie. You can help us out some." She told her, picking up the potato peeler and handing it to her. "Peel these for me, and I'll teach ya how to make the best mashed potatos you've ever had the chance to savor." Llidya's voice held a promise as she looked to the girl, and she started for the door, hearing a knock.

Lyliyana was standing there, finally come to visit. With desserts no less. Of course she had desserts. She dropped the basket by the door, but Llidya picked it up and moved it into the kitchen. She could hear Mahina moving around and Lyliyana looking for her. It was a cute game of hide and seek that didn't last too long.

Chapman heard the door then, and glanced over her shoulder to see Marcs coming through the door. Icy blues took in the state of her friend, and her smirk disappeared into a thin line. She glanced to Anna Marie. "Looks good. Now protect this basket with your life...if I know Lyl these are good enough to kill for." She smiled to her, before grabbing herself a Guinness and following her friend out to the back yard.

Llidya walked around to the other side of the tree, sitting perpendicular to her, looking out into the woods. She took a swig of her beer and glanced over to her friend.

"Wanna talk about it?" Was all she said. All she needed to say. Kota knew Llidya was there for her, knew that Kota was one of her oldest friends, and that'd she do anything for her. It was something she'd realized probably back in New York, when that nasty serial rapist had come through their precinct, and Llidya had beat the ever loving hell out of him.
Bahamas-clear water blues just looked across the yard, waiting on her friend to talk, and release the burdens that felt the weight of the world.

"Mahina!" Was the excited response to Mahina's enthusiasm. She gave the wolf a dnacing hug, overjoyed to see her. She watched her disappear up the stairs for a moment, and come back down with matching bead necklaces. She held up hers and looked to Mr. Grey's matching one.

"Oh my gosh they're sooo pretty!" Lyliyana told her, watching the light play along the necklace. "We will treasure it always." She told her solemnly. She took up Mahina's hand then, and started for the kitchen, to sit at the table with everyone else.

Lyliyana just adored being around people while they were creating stuff. It was always so neat to watch. She kicked her legs slightly in the chair.

"I've missed you too! I've been fine. Mr. Bubbles, Mr. Grey and I have been exploring the islands, and I've done some painting, and you've been making necklaces! You should make these all the time. I'm sure lots of people will buy them if you did!" Lyliyana told her with a bobbing nod. She tilted her head. "What about you? I haven't seen you in ages and ages!" Lyliyana told her. She kept an eye out for Coyote. Though they'd been introduced, she didn't think he'd recognized her.

From the being grabbed by the elbow and sat at the table with a bowl of potatos in front of her, Anna had to think about what Llidya said. Peel potatos. Okay that was easy... Protect them with your life. Over potato's, Anna flashed Llidya a look of fear. She'd rather give up the potato's then protect them. Hell, they were just potatos. Soon to be mashed.

Hand took a large one and a knife and began to peel the potato's like a professional. Just the skin, leaving hardly any trance of the brown skin. Leaving the peelings in the bowl, finishing one after the other. She heard mahina, and two other woman. Maybe three, she couldn't tell.

: The pumped up Bronco pulled up the pack house, music blaring loud enough that inside her the old girl was really letting off some crazy mad howls. Her beast responded to music like a beagle responds to a coon. Climbing out of the machine with a forty pound bag on her back that was wider than her was quite the show. Purple and pink cowboy boots hit turf though without her losing a bit of balance. Thanking Sloane she swore up and down she'd find a way to get to the garage the next day, even if she had to hotwire a vespa to do it. Blah. Shutting the door with a loud clank she pounded a fist on it twice in goodbye before heading towards the house that reeked of wolves. If Ash and Silent were anywhere on the island then this was the place. :

:Lou knew most of the old pack, but wasn't sure who from that motley crew was still around, or what new wolves might be there. Still she approached the situation with her usual swagger, dominance leaking from every pore on her short pixie thin body. Red straw cowboy hat was pulled off her head and held in one hand as she came to the door, opening it without a single thought of knocking. First thing she took a good long sniff of the air in a way that had more to do with Peter than herself. Memphis, Cypress, her Lyric baby, Vinny, Ash. All smells she knew mixed into the new ones. Beneath that though she caught Mammas scent and went towards the kitchen. If that big black Jemmima was anywhere it would be the kitchen or the laundry room. Mamma seemed to have a laundry fetish, which for Lou was great since her clothes were usually sweaty and covered in axle grease among other things.:

:She didn't say much to anyone cause those around were strangers to her, but before going into the kitchen she dropped that puke green army duffel off her shoulders and onto the floor, some of the road dust puffing off of it and onto the floor. Looking in the kitchen those rust colored eyes went right to Mamma and she gave a loud yeehaw.:

"Mamma you lookin foxy!"

: That Alabama country drawl was slow and perked here and there with a touch of her North Eastern origin. Skinny arms opened wide to wrap around the bountiful body of the woman before her. Lous head fit perfectly against the womans engulfing chest like laying on a pillow. Almost immediately the woman fussed at her about her clothes and Lou just chuckled good naturedly. Then she reached behind her and untied the purple bandanna that was being used as a top. It fell into her hands leaving her bare from the waist up. With a grin she handed it to Mamma before shimmying out of her daisy dukes as well and handing them over. They were sweaty and dusty and had traces of the garage on them. Mamma would have a field day. Standing in the kitchen in nothing but those cowboy boots and a pair of lacy purple boy short panties she didn't feel the least self conscious. She was a wolf, nudity was natural. Lou wasn't buxom or sexy. She had the body of a thirteen year old, but she'd come to terms with that a long time ago and was too much of a tomboy to care.:

"Wooo honeychild you gonna make Mamma crazy. How a little bitty thing like you gets yaself so dirty I'll never know."

: As mamma passed her on the way to the laundry room she slapped Lous perky little bottom with a hand playfully and Lou chuckled again. Now to find and pounce the Ulfric and Lupa and let them know she was home. Then Lyric was definetly next on her list. She went through the house like it was already hers, naked as a baby jaybird and without a care in the world. Peeking her head outside she saw Dakota and gave a wave of one oil stained hand. :

"Miss Kota, you got any idea where the bossmans gotten to?"

: Salem didn't seem as far away when there was a familiar face around. Waiting for an answer she would nod and tuck back into the house to find a phone and give the big man a call. Lou plucked the phone from it's stand and dialed the number she'd been given when Ash had called her after the move. Getting his voicemail she cleared her throat. :

"Mr. Redfern, you got some explainin to do. I came all the way here and you ain't even here to welcome me. I aughta get Mamma to kick yo butt." Chuckling she added, "I missed ya bossman. Come home soon so I can greet ya proper."

: Hanging up she noticed the scent of a strange humanoid in the house, turning to look the blonde over her beast gave a low rumbling growl from withint, grey hackles raising. Before she dug a hole for herself she went out the back door again to where Dakota was. She hooked a finger in a motion towards the house. :

"Did rule number one change? Ash lettin flesh bags in now? Or did red riding hood just wander in on her own?"

:Rule numero uno. No humans in the pack house except the vargamore and Evie, she wasn't sure why Evie was an exception, but the woman seemed to have a sort of connection to the Ulfric. Lou never questioned Ash's will. Didn't want to get spanked, not by him anyway. She preffered that her spankings came from someone a bit darker, more Irish, with a voice like an angel.:

Feet planted on the ground. Knees bent up serving as a resting place for her arms. Such a relaxed pose and still she looked stiff and on edge. One by one, she let her shields fall down, just to put more focus on to maintaining control on her emotion. Anger welled up inside her, watching the fire flies blink in and out of existence across the manicured law. Anger with herself for feeling so completely weak and helpless. She had always been able to stand on her own, shove it all down in to the dark where she could forget it ever happened.

Brown Bottle, Red label, One of her favorite beer and it tasted flat. Every thing tasted flat lately. She ate and drank because she had to, just no appetite. Vessel rose to the lips, Tipping it back draining half the contents from the bottle before it lowered down. Was not so much as she heard Llyida coming, as she felt it. Every thing dead had a feeling to it, but even now her gifts had come to know the taste of the wolves. Could never tell who it was, but that one was there was easy enough.

"Wanna talk about it?" Llyida had to ask, Had to be the friend she had always been. She should have know what Kota's answer was going to be. Same as it had been when Lly had asked after her mother died, after Murphy was murdered, after spending two weeks in the hospital with a hold in her side.

-= "Nothing to talk about" =-

Upwards momentum elevated her to her feet. Eyes of haunting violet locked on Lou, even a touch of a smile on her lips. Nothing to get excited over, but it was there none the less. Saved from Llyida's questions, for the moment by the arrival of an old friend. Arms went out, encased the hot sassy country girl.

"Goo' ta see ya love" Gesture to the house, Kota's eyes followed giving a faint nod. Not sure what Lyl was doing here, she had not heard anything from Ash about the girl, but the pack did owe her a debit of gratitude. "I think she is ok, I will talk to Ask about it. She is good people. Saved Mahina's and Coyotes life. She is sweet as chewing sugar cubes but good people.

Change in Topic... keeping it off her as much as possible not looking to break down in front of people.

"So how 'ave ya been Lou? Good Ta see you home. Oh wonderful I am losing ma head. This is Llyida, Llyiad... This spit fire 'ere is Lou"

Llidya's gaze narrowed at the response. Of course, it was her usual response. She always said that, and then Llidya would start her usual set of twenty questions, and obvious observations, and get it out of her, but this time she was interrupted by a familiar voice. Apparently Lou Reed had made it from the garage alright.

Llidya scowled, pushing herself up, towering over the two as Dakota gave the mostly naked girl a hug. Well she wasn't shy, was she?

"Yeah you ain't kiddin'. If you want sweet tea just have Lyl blow it a kiss." She told her with a smirk. She glanced to Kota, then back to Lou. "Yeah we met a few hours ago. Damn good with the cars, she boasts." Llidya's tone was matter of fact, no making fun in her voice. She gave a salute with her Guinness bottle and started back towards the house. "If'n you'll excuse me, I gotta teach Anna Marie how to make mashed potatos." In a few strides Llidya was back at the door, that bottle lifted to empty it's contents completely down her throat. Once through the threshold she tossed it into the trash. She gave a glance to the trio at the table, before continuing on to the stairs.

"Listen up! If you're not helpin' with dinner, then yer cleaning up afters!" She bellowed so the whole house could hear. She returned to the kitchen with that trademark Chapman smirk, looking to Mahina first.

"Mahina, give that boy Angel a call, make sure he gets his ass over here for dinner. Least he could do is have a meal with us since he's been staying over." She gave the girl a wink, and patted Lyliyana on the shoulder as she passed by. A chair was pulled up to sit right in front of Anna Marie, hand grabbing an empty bowl and a knife. She placed the bowl in her mouth just a second to slap a hand that was reaching for the basket filled with the desserts. "Not till affer dinner." She said, pulling the bowl from her mouth and taking a seat in front of Anna Marie.

"You're doin' a fine job with the peeling. Now the next step is cutting 'em up into chunks, or slices, whichever one ya like." Llidya started doing just that, dropping the cut potatoes into the bowl. "And then we boil the pieces. When they get nice and soft, ya drain them and then add some salt and butter. Lots of butter." She grinned at the girl, showing and explaining exactly how to make her mother's famous mashed potatos. "If we can get some of these other pups in here, they might learn somethin' too." She told her with a pointed grin. All was in the work of trying to make a new member feel like they were home.

It had been a long day, week, month, you could pretty much take your pick. When his phone vibrated on the dash he picked it up, letting the call go to voicemail as he turned onto the gravel road that led into the jungle like area that the pack house was on. Checking the number he saw that it was from the house and almost didn't check the message. Then again he figured it was always good to know what he was walking into, so flipping open the slim black cell and balancing it between ear and shoulder as he parked he listened to the message. That sweet clinging Southern accent hit his ears and some weight inside him lightened a bit. Ash hadn't expected Lou to join them on the island. The girl was so attached to Salem and her fathers garage that he thought she would stay there until she was old and grey, maybe even one day have a pack of her own to look after.

Shutting the phone again he slid it into one of the pockets of the black sweats he'd been wearing while jogging on the beach. As he climbed out of the car he could already feel the others from inside the house. His beast knew it's wolves, and reached out to them naturally. The door was found open and so he went inside and took off his sneakers at the door, leaving them there so he wouldn't track dirt through the house. Moving through the house he heard Kota from outside as she spoke to Lou, and then Lydia came through the door. Lightning kissed eyes followed her as she blustered through the house like some kind of hurricane. He could feel the others gathered in the kitchen and would go in to see them in a few minutes, but his first stop would be the back of the house.

S
tanding in the open french doors he looked out at Dakota and Lou where they were chatting, watching them a long moment before he actually stepped outside to join them. Lous greeting came first since the little demon very rarely let much time go before she greeted him.

"We missed you Lou. I know Lyric has, and Memphis. Did you close up the shop before you left Salem?"

After Lou was out of his arms he went to Dakota, no formal greeting there he just moved in beside her and wrapped an arm around her shoulders, tugging her into his side casually. If there was one thing he could relate to at the moment it was feeling like your mind was lost. Lately Ash felt like he had a one way ticket to Wonderland with the Mad Hatter as his guide. If things got any more out of control he shuddered to think what might happen. It was like his entire life was on a tilt-a-whirl in some kind of demented theme park. Lou was a talker, so he let her talk as he stood there beside Dakota. There was so much to say, and no words to say them. Sometimes silence said more.

Llyida left, saved Kota from having to come up with other things to talk about with her. Getting the necromancer to open up and talk about what was bugging her was like trying to get the President to admit he is a crook. There is a lot of side stepping, ducking, dodging and dancing around the subject. Another reason to be angry with herself. There were a number of new wolves in the pack and she had yet to introduce herself to all of them. Should have been helping get them settled in. Just to hard to be around them, Ash, Mahina and Coyote most of all. She had watched Mahina and Coyote die, could not do anything but BEG for Lilith to let them live.

Now she was introducing people who already knew each other!? All at once coming home felt like a really bad idea! How she wished she had stayed in the grave yard where it was dark, quiet, the dead to not talk much. Ash showing up Kota kept saying it over and over again in her head. "Please don't touch me, please don't touch me, Please don't touch me" If he touched her she was going to lose it. If he touched her she was going to breach down right there and putting that burden on Ash's already over loaded shoulders was the last thing she wanted. She had caused the man enough pain already. And then he touched her. Shoulders stiffened, only for a moment and she felt like the whole world was going to fall apart right there.

Her throat got very tight, footing shifted to turn herself just a bit brushing her face in to his side to wipe away the tears spilling out of the corner of her eye. So much for relaxing, not till she could go out for a run, or crawl in to bed with Memphis and just cry a little. How to play this all off? Wrapping her arm around the slender build of Ash's body feeling like she was only two inches high. Bottle to the lips, draining the last of the dark reddish brown liquid.

"How are things back in Salem?" God she wanted to go home!

: Lou wasn't sure what she thought of Lyd yet, hadn't been around the giant long enough. Still she was pretty sure she could take her. Even if it meant climbing all over her like a howler monkey and bopping her on the head. Now was not the time to find out though. At the explanation about the girl Lou rolled those wide rust colored eyes. Save smaved, she was still a human and Lou doubted that sugary sweet was going to make Ash change his mind. Still not her business so she let it lie. Moving to the table she plopped her perky little ass onto it, pink and purple booted feet swinging cause they didn't hit the floor. :

"Loosin' yer head huh? You got the voices or just seein things. You know my mamma had a second cousin who was all torn up mental. She used go out in the garden in her underpants and talk to the scarecrow. Never could figure out if he ever answered her back but she jest kep on tryin. No scarecrows around these parts though so I guess you'll just haffta settle for talkin to me. That's almost as crazy."

:In her rambling sort of way she was trying to make Dakota feel better. No one had more eccentrics than in the South. Every family had them, but in the South people were prouder to put them on display. Behind her she heard the front door close and caught the scent of Ash, she didn't rightly know he smelled like Scottish highlands because the closest she'd gotten to another country was a spring break in cancun. Still she woulda recognized his smell anywhere. Hopping off the table she was the first one in his arms. The hug was short but warm on both sides. Just another sort of family meetin up. As they parted she took up her spot on the table again, almost naked body just enjoying the sun. :

"Aww hell, I haddta close the shop up. Once ole baldy left it just wasn't as much fun."

: Lou leaned forward, hands clasping her knobby knees as she sighed.:

"I think it's what my daddy woulda wanted me ta do. He always said that we was made for the open road. To keep on movin till ya hit the ocean. Well, I guess this is a pretty good shot at that. Besides, how could I leave you without a good handywoman. What're you gonna do the next time a toilet backs up?"

:Grinning broadly she gave a chuckle. Never failed, Ash could rip open a persons chest and hand their own heart to them, but he'd rather die than do housework. Wierd guy. Eyes blinked in rapid succession when she saw a few tears glistening on Dakotas cheek just before the vargamore pressed her face into Ash's chest. Brows arched so high she looked like Joan Crawford after a face lift. She knew trouble when she saw it, and this was trouble. The question about Salem was answered with a hard exhalation of breath, blowing up at the strands of blonde that were sweat plastered to her brow from a long day under the hood of the Challenger.:

"Don't you try to get me talkin about Salem just so you can keep me in the dark. I ain't that stupid." She remembered Brady saying it best, "Southern don't mean stupid."

: Lou folded skinny arms over her practically nonexistent chest and just glared at the two of them where they snuggled, rust colored eyes determined. She was gonna get herself an answer or wait around and bug them until Ash gave her the butt whoopin of a lifetime. Whichever came first, or maybe both.:

"One of you best tell me what I've missed. How'm I supposed to know whats what if I can't get the word?"

:New town, new people and everybody actin all crazy-like. As confident as she was it made her nervous. Humans runnin round like the pack house was a kindergarten. Stuffed rabbits. Dakota crying. ASH HUGGING PEOPLE! It was a world gone mad. Like someone had put crazy pills in the water. What next? Would Vinny come in dressed like the pope? Or maybe Cypress would start wearing pastels. Then something else odd hit her radar and she squinted her eyes a bit. Some pieces were being put together but she didn't know how they fit yet.Soft suspicion would lace her voice. :

"How come I ain't smelling Silent round here? Where's she been?"

Mahina was so caught up in the fact that 'Lee Ann' was here that at first the other wolf's comment (Lou's) went over her head breifly and she just went into hugging her again. Her eyes caught the new blonde wolf and before she went back to Kota. Mahina moved towards her and let the hawaiian accent flow. "Aloha, I'm Mahina. This here is Lyliyana, she saved my life and another and is allowed in the packhouse." Mahina greeted her with the soft rub of her hawaiian tanned skin and stepped back to allow her to proceed to the backyard and to Kota. Mahina with her azure colored eyes watched her, so much she wanted to say to her but in time perhaps. She loved Kota, she was pack in her eyes and obviously felt the same that night she and Coyote almost died. And Lyliyana saved her from death. She turned back and hooked her arm around hers to lead her back to the kitchen.

"I have been alright. Still won't go out at night alone. I do the buddy system and been back out on the ocean surfing which has made me more peaceful." smiling as she stopped at the doorway and caught Chapman's words and blushed. "Yes Bosslady, I will be calling him right...." and thats when the scent of highlands of Scotlands and lochs came to her nostrils.......Ashes.....he's home and that made the hawaiian smile wide. "Now I am calling him." she let go of 'Lee Ann' and dialed Angel's cell, getting voicemail and leaving one.

"Angel, it's your 'La. Hey, can you come to the packhouse? We all are having dinner and want to make sure you are invited and our Ulfric is here so it would be a great time for us to introduce you to him. Call me or just come over. Bye."

Hanging up the phone and she was back to the kitchen doorway. "Chapman! Call was made so can I help with anything?"

Lou touched him, she always had. In that moment with her fiery eyes on him and Dakota he thought maybe he should tell someone everything. Unburden soul before he collapsed. Arms wrapped around Dakota as his hand stroked her hair. Letting her cry if she needed and hide it in the closeness of their embrace. It would be so good to tell someone really, he hadn't really told anyone. Not even Marcus or Milo. Generous lips parted. About to take that weight off himself, and then Mahina came out with a young girl in tow. Immediately his mouth closed, electric eyes narrowing. This was definetly not in his plans.

"I never gave my permission for her to be here."

Cultured voice was low, dangerous as he looked at Mahina. Not glancing at the young healer. The rule about humans in the packhouse was more about the safety of the human than anything else. They had several brand spanking new shifters in the house, and someone had just brought a girl who looked like she was about as tough as a cotton ball into the house. If one of the new wolves lost control then this little girl would be like dropping chum into a shark tank.

" Ashes hand gripped Mahinas arm, interrupting her phone call to turn her back to him. "Don't ever assume that you know my will in these matters. That's how people get hurt. Do you want to reward her for saving your life by ruining hers?"

If she was hurt in any way here. If one of the untrained wolves got cut, or too excited and started to shift. One scratch, that was often all it took for wolf lycanthropy. One scratch and your entire life was gone. She would lose most of her healing ability, she would lose that skip in her step from spending endless times ripping into the hot flesh of animals and her companions after death, she would lose part of herself to the creature within herself. One scratch.

"Get whoever brought her here to take her home. Now. Then send that person to me."

Lou was absolutely right. It was Rule Number One. Seemed like maybe the wolves needed a refresher course on how things were done. They might not understand his reasoning. See it as him just being an asshole, but he had never been concerned with what others thought of him. His main concern was that the little human not be harmed in their home. Everything else was secondary. Head turned to glance at Lou, watching her a second and then nodding in a moment of understanding. Lou was new back to the pack, and yet she had been the only one of them to remember and stand up for his laws. It meant something to him.

Angel had been stuck at the station all day listining to the Captain tell him how everyone was slacking off since arriving in Hawaii there were cases to be solved and not much of that was being done. He felt the phone go off in his back pocket but wold wait until the lecture was over to get it.Stepping out of hell he opened his phone to the voicemail to find his sun had called

:
"Angel, it's your 'La. Hey, can you come to the packhouse? We all are having dinner and want to make sure you are invited and our Ulfric is here so it would be a great time for us to introduce you to him. Call me or just come over. Bye.":

Finally he would get to meet the ulfric and not have to be sneaking in and out of the packhouse. The day at the mall with Mahina he got the chance to meet the Lupa not in a very good way but never the less it was done.

Angel picked up his files and called a local taxi company to bring over a cab. The driver was told to drop him off a block away from his destination, Angel didn't want people to know where to find the pack so he walked the familiar path to the house.

As he knocked on the door the scent of steaks coming from inside made Wolfie stir around in hunger. He was distracted by the opening of the door with Mahina crying and a little blonde lady with a grey bunny

+Mahina whats wrong what happened?+

thats all he could say before she came into his arms wrapping them around his waist and her head on his chest with  tears starting to stain his uniform.

Empty beer bottle hit the ground behind them some where with a dull thud. Not used to Ash touching any one. He was always the one being touched by other. The only ones Kota had every seen Ash reach out for was Silent... and Evie. His being there for her meant more then he would ever know. There was such a deep desire to let it all go, feel the tears burn her cheeks like acid. Have her eyes burning from the strain, her check tight so her breaths came in gasping sobs.

Not now, there was to many in the house, to much to be said, and still that Irish pride griped tight as a vice around her heart and gave her a little more strength to keep from bailing like a new born babe. Arms never did let her Ulfric go, Even when he pulled Mahina back to face him and Kota's turned Violet eyes upon the girl. Kota had not even Noticed Lyl there till Lou had pointed it out. Soon as Mahina was heading back in to the house Kota's storming pools rose... rose... and rose till she found Lightning kissed eclectic blues.

"Sorry Ash, Should have had someone take her home when I came in from work. Just did not notice her"

Kota was blind to a lot of things as of late, keeping her distance as much as possible. Mention of Silent had her stiff as a board and swallowing back that huge knot in her throat. Her best friend, her sister, Three times Silent had left her, and still she missed her, and the way they used to cling to each other for support. First Sil had left Kota in Salem, to go to Ohio, then NO. When Sil came back, she still left Kota, completely in the dark turning to someone else and never did explain what had happened. Then when Lilith came for her, how Kota wanted her Lupa then, her sister and friend but Silent was gone and Lilth tore apart every sacred memory Kota had.

Reluctantly she pulled from Ash's side, dropping back down on to the ground with a huff letting her head fall back against the tree. Small hand rose the short distance needed to brush the back of her hand across her cheek. Murdering another river of tears that had managed to fall from ghostly hues.

"You have a few weeks? May take that long to explain it."

-Black Jetta rolled up to the pack house. Lips were griped with her front teeth, being chewed away like mad. With everything the pack was going through, and Ash being well... Lyric didn't want to think about it. She pushed those things aside. She had a new issue to handle. A stack of papers sat next to Lyric, serving as a passenger of her car. Seat belt was unclipped, and she guided it back to its place. Her head hit the seat in a soft sigh. Eyes closed. She didn't call up Brandon, she didn't want to bother him. There was some things she needed to do and one person she knew that could help her.

The door opened, with a little push. Lyric moved to grab the stack of files, folders and papers that were sticking out which way and that. There was even a few books in that monstrous stack. Returning to the courtroom had been a nightmare Lyric wasn't nearly prepared for. She was stuck on the bottom of the totem pile again. Nothing like hard work to make you forget that the people you love the most were falling apart. Her knee pressed the car door open. Heels hitting gravel, lycanthrope balance was a blessing when she wore four inch pumps. Rounded hip would connect with the door of her car, closing it. Keys dangled from her fingers as she rested her chin on the pile carried in her arms.

A glance around she could see Ash was home. His shoes were outside the door. Bending slightly to the right, and inching forward to get the door. Pressing down on the lock and the door gave. Lyric pushed it open further, to have the smells of the pack house attack her senses. There was one that stood out. That scent, she remembered that belonged to one spunky blond. Her southern drawl smooth and husky. A little shiver ran down Lyric's spine. Couldn't be. Really. Her mind pushed Lou's face out of the way, as she was trying to gather Ash's shoes in her hand. They were sandy, muddy, and it showed Ash had been beating the beach with his stress. Lyric thought about making a date with him one of these mornings to join him.

Carefully she rose from her slightly kneeled position to walk into the house finally. Everyone filled it with their smell their presences. Lyric almost felt suffocated, and still she wouldn't have it any other way. She did have her own apartment that was nearly attached to the house. Carrying her stuff, keys were tossed on the table, and she hoped they made it. Hearing the metal connect with metal, she gave a silent 'woohoo,' and kept walking. The first stop was dropping Ash's shoes in the laundry room, for Mamma. Who was washing a bandana that was way too dusty. Lou's scent again hit her like a slap in the face.

"Hey Mamma."

Mamma kissed her daughter on the cheek, before attending to some small ass shorts. The kinda shorts a ten year old would wear.

"Mamma? Whens we got kids running 'round here?"

That woman smiled and kept washing. Lyric narrowed her eyes. She was being too secretive for her own good. Which normally met Lyric was going to have a heart attack of some kind. Down the hall she headed to her office. Well, her office and Ash's. She had stolen a little piece of the room to work. That's where she set everything down. Her arms relieved of the awkward weight. Hands brushed though her hair, as she pulled it into a messy pony tail. Heels were removed then, as she headed out of the office.

She was following Ash's scent now, seeking him out to say a proper hello. The sliding glass door opening and there he was. That was till Lou's voice touched Lyric's ears, and her bare feet started on a run. Arms snatched up the tiny nearly naked woman.

"Lou!!"

Lyric called out swinging the woman around in crazy spins till Lyric lost balance and toppled over with Lou still in a hug. Throaty chuckles came from Lyric then.

"Ahs missed ya!" -

Mahina was awaiting a reply from 'LeeAnn' when all the sudden Ashes was talking to her about jeopardizing the safety of Lyliyana. His words, his grip sent her head spiraling. She knows the rules and she didn't know Lyliyana hadn't gotten permission. Since Chapman knew of her, Mahina just assumed permission was granted ahead of time. She knew the consequences of a human in the myst of new shifters but this was her first pack and she made a error in judgement.

"i'm ...I'm sorry Ulfric I thought permission had been granted, I had no idea it wasn't. I didn't have...have anything to do with this. I'm sorry. I didn't tell her to come here I will get to the bottom of this and have the person responsible to you."

She heard his orders and her eyes cast to LeeAnn, leaving her expensive blackberry to be shoved into her cargo pocket. Taking Lyliyana with her, back inside to find Chapman and confront her how she got here and who told her to come, the Ulfric had rules and it was LeeAnn's safety and as far as Mahina knew, she thought access or permission was granted ahead of time.

"I'm sorry LeeAnn but for your own protection we need to get you home and I need to know how you got here and who told you to come here because I need to bring them to the Ulfric."

And she didn't even do it! She was out the door to find an available car to take LeeAnn home, he was there.....mountains and plastic his scent and she clung to him. She pulled away for a moment. She was fine, just needed answers and to give Ash the person responsible.

"Yeah sure. Help Anna Marie here...you're going to add four sticks of butter and whip 'em up good. That should make it." Llidya told Mahina as she stood. She watched Redfern call her off for a second, and she glanced over to Anna Marie with a smirk. "Now be careful with that knife." Bahamas-clear water blues turned to see Redfern in some heated words with Mahina, well, as heated as it got with the man. She straightened from her chair, and went for the fridge, pulling out a few Boddington's for the man the two girls before heading out to the trio outside as she reached for her keys.

"Hey Lou you gotta car?" Llidya asked as she strolled outside. "Cause I got one you can borrow if'n ya want." Llidya remembered the girl had walked up to the garage, and thought most likely she'd gotten a ride from Sloane. Icy blues leveled on Kota, debating on just dragging her off to a room and forcing her to talk, just like any old interrogation. But then Llidya'd thought better of it, knowing that girls were supposed to talk over tea...or in their case, beer. She stopped just before the two, eyeing them. Hell Ash looked like he needed the same damn thing. Llidya opened a bottle and handed it to him, being painfully careful to make sure she didn't touch him. She then handed one to Lou and one to Kota, refraining from taking one herself. She nodded to Lyric in greeting, a lazy smile curving her lips at the affection. A little bit of sadness showed through, but it was brief as that hard look returned to her gaze. "It's a '70 Judge, I think you'll like her."

Llidya's hands settled on her hips, watching Kota fall to the ground. Kota may have been talking to Lou, but Llidya was replying. "I got all the time in the world for ya Kota." She lifted her gaze to Ash, only slightly though, she couldn't look him in the eyes, not right now. "You too McBroody. Have a beer, stay a while. And talk about it goddammit." She told them, looking from one to the other. She was really relieved to see that only a few words from Lou seemed to be doing what Llidya couldn't for the past hour or so. But she didn't begrudge the girl, she was quite alright in Llidya's book.

From her stance, you could tell she wasn't moving. Dinner was moving along just fine and it'd prolly be ready in the next forty five minutes or so. Even if it was, Llidya decided she'd rather starve than let either one of them walk off without getting whatever it was off their chest. If Lou and her had to gang up on them to do it. It was for their own good.

Lyliyana realized that she'd gotten Mahina in trouble. She grabbed up Mr. Grey as she passed her basket, and waved good bye to everyone.

"Gosh Mahina I'm sorry I didn't know I wasn't allowed. I hope I didn't get you in trouble. I don't think Chapman knew either. Or maybe she did, she used to make her old chief at the NYPD angry for doing things she knew she wasn't supposed to." Lyliyana giggled at the memory. She stepped outside with her, and saw Angel, giving him a wave. She looked back to Mahina.

"Well that's okay, I'll have a ride here in no time! I'll just remember not to come here again." She nodded, a hand coming up to her chin. She brightened after a moment of thought. "We should meet for cookies or something later this week! And you can keep the desserts I brought, I made them for you. And you can bring all your friends!"

Lyliyana didn't seem too perturbed, her only worry that Mahina had gotten in trouble, but since she didn't seem too distraught, neither did she. "Byeeee! I'll call you later!" Lyliyana called over her shoulder in a sing song voice, as she started skipping down the drive. That cell phone came from a pocket on her dress as she called for Hector to pick her up.

"Yes Mr. Bubbles I had to leave early. Well now we can go paint at the beach!"

Mahina smiled to 'LeeAnn' as she let go of Angel, it was a huge mix up but at least she has the name of the person responsible. She hugged Lyliyana and waved to her, reassuring that she had a ride. "It's alright it was got your safety and I'll call you and we can meet up at the beach or something." She waved to the blonde, it eased her to know that she was not too upset. Looking to Angel she dragged him inside with her and moved to find Chapman who in fact was near the others and Ash. Coming up beside her and patted her shoulder while her eyes were fixated on their Ulfric.

"Ulfric? Chapman here is the one responsible and Lyliyana went home. Sorry for the mix up."

Her hand brushed along the arm of Chapman before she departed. It was because of Chapman and her invitation to the young healer without asking Ash to make him think Mahina was the one to test his will when it was her, not Mahina. Mahina hasn't and she sure as hell wasn't going to start now. He wanted the one responsible for breaking Rule #1 and Mahina found her. Just as he asked her to do. Nodding she moved away and took Angel with her back inside to the kitchen to help Mamma. Chapman was not making a good impression and she got Mahina in trouble, that doesn't make the hawaiian too happy.
