Stopping once she was down the last step of stairs, she took a moment to catch her breath and for the throbbing to slow down before she was on a lookout for a laptop, cell phone, house phone.....anything for her to get in contact with Ezra. It's been a few days since he came and saw her at the Hospital, she wanted to talk with him but everything was back at her condo. Fingers tucked dark brown strands behind her ears. AH HA! a cell phone, she opened it and dialed the number to the precinct first, getting the operator she asked for him...Detective Dayton. He was not in. Thanking her, she dialed his home phone....Waiting as it ringed, no answer. So lastly she sat down in a chair and dialed his cell phone, when a elbow on her knee and a hand over her forehead. Waiting for him to pick up. -d She sighed and on the brink of tears and not for certain why but she really wanted to talk with him. To tell him she was safe and that why she can't see him right now and that was killing her more then anything. The fact she is unable to see him, to feel his arms......."Aloha Ez...It's me Mahina. When you get this don’t call my cell phone. I don't have it on me call here, (inserts house number) I am staying with the pac.......with some friends. Please call me, I miss you.I love you....Bye." hanging up and just stared at it for a moment.
Alvin had been a busy man hasn't he?. Of course Ezra had sent his oldest brother on a mission to get to where she lived, knowing there was that part of him that kniw his sibling wasn't normal like everyone else like himself, but he was okay with it and all.
He parked the red porsche inside his spacious and clean garage, most garages was just look like a storm hit it, but this was like a second room someone could sleep in even when it was not a bedroom.
As the engine died down, he released the keys from ignition and opened the door getting out of the driver's side. The garage door still wide open, as he clicked the black button on his key chain to lock everything of his car and did the same with the garage, closing it and sealing it up tight.
Ascending the cobbe-stoned stairway toward his front stained-glassed door, he unlocked it, stepping through the threshold checking everything out in case something decided to jump out at him without warning. In his world, its always safety first to be alert. Head canted to the burglar alarm system, it was digitized and made to make certain nothing go through these gates without expecting the consequences, another one was in the kitchen as well as the upstair hallway. He pressed each pad so he made sure it will activate properly, one thing to figure out he was no fool, that someone would have the indication he was.
After watching all them James Bond movies, Mahina knew it was his favorite selection; having told her about what interests him and what he liked most. Remembering their time in the limo on their first date when they talked about all kinds of things inlcuding flicks. He never even asked what her favorites were so he wasn't quite sure.
Anyways, he walked to the large living room where a white phone with answering machine and caller id sat on an oak nightstand beside a huge chestnut brown media cabinet with television, dvd and VCR, and much more that he probably had stashed like a treasure chest.
Punching the button, he had five messages playing, the last one was from Mahina!. He smiled, his heart pounding, knowing that she was thinking of him; realizing he never doubt her because he believes and trusts her than anyone else. Listening to her voice like it was music to his ears, he then pressed the record button so she will know he gotten her message.
"Mahina?. I love you, sweetheart. I just got in from doing this strenous case, you probably wouldn't believe it if I had told you what I had to go up against, but letting you know that I miss you and think about you a lot. My brother is coming by to drop off something that is a surprise for you. " He described what he looks like then mentioned his name. "His name's Alvin. "In case she did not think a stranger came, deciding to do something, he get paranoid a little himself, didn't say he was perfect..
He then left it at that, leaving to take that shower he's desperately needing right now. Afterall, its been a very long day; make that week.
With everything that was going on, the more and more Mahina was exhausted. Being away from the ocean let alone Enza was really taking a toll. The Hawaiian lives for the ocean and this has been the longest she's been away, swear the girl was half fish instead of wolf. But after the calling of the Munin, Mahina slept an entire day and mostly all curled up with Coyote. So when Mamma shook her awake, she was concerned that there was another threat or something. Instead Mamma told her to come downstairs. Mahina obiently followed and Mamma replayed the message left on the answering service. The Hawaiian was ESTATIC he finally CALLED! And he was sending his brother. Mahina pleaded with Mamma explaining what he looked like and that he would NOT be a threat to the pack. It took alot of coaxing and Mamma told her she should talk to Ash but given the circumstances he could drop the stuff off but not come inside. Strict orders and she still will need to ask permission from Ash to allow Alvin to come to the packhouse. Because she didn't want to bother him with something so unmeaningful, she asked if Mamma would accept what Alvin was dropping off for Ezra. She agreed.
Mahina called back with the directions to the packhouse, also adding a little white lie.
"I'm sorry Ez...I'm just still real weak and unable to take vistors right now but someone here will be able to accept the surprise for me and whatever message or anything as well. I love you too and miss you. Keep in contact and just know I think of you."
Hmm?. Alvin Dayton was already at the packhouse, but she probably had no clue who he was so it would not have mattered. A sorceror was able to call forth things through loads of practice and he was able to have summoned one creature from another plane in the past.
Even after Ezra had left to become a militant man, Alvin studied the principles of channeling his energy. Little did his brother or Mahina realized his preternatural skills that he hidden well. The wolves. He figured that was what they were from the start cause he was a paranormal, but even if he figured it out from his view he will not have explained none of this to his younger brother. It'll be best for now Ezra played the innocent to his hearts content.
"You can't fool me, Mahina. "He chuckled, but did held the stuffed wallaby and a card with flowers known as rhododendrons in purples and blues. He would already know the situation going with his brother's girlfriend, it was like no point in bothering her knowing how lycan based worlds can be strict, he's seen it as well heard it with his own ears.
The little marsupial still set under his left arm pit, it was golden-beige with a 7 ft long tail that was used for a balance with real wallabies. They were cousins to the kangaroo, but much smaller versions to them. It had red boxing gloves on each hand like it meant to punch someone's lights out, and its eyes were light-blue; giving off that iridescent contrast color.
Now here goes nothing. He looked around noting the silence as he decided to get this over with. He pressed a finger on the button, did he just hear a ring reverberating?. So they might have heard it.
Meanwhile at the beach house taking a shower, he heard a beep then Mahina's voice had spoken. A smile curled knowing how it is for her, being like she was on house arrest which he'd probably die had that been him. Ezra can be considered unpredictable when he wants to be. Reaching his right hand to turn the dials off, finally getting out leaving small puddles on the cold bathroom blue tiles that streaked spaciously like it was a "spic n span" commercial.
Quickly, grabbing a blue towel from the white rack hanging just on the left of the mirror above double gray, marble sinks; wiping his dark damp hair thoroughly, but it still dripped a little more water and leaving his lean form bare for long periods of time until he walked to his master bedroom which was on the first floor down the hall, picking out some under clothes then pulled on his rainbow cotton bathrobe that he just imagined if his girlfriend would have seen him dressed in it. He'd joke saying to her. "Hi, I am Joseph. Know, the one where Jacob favors him than all his others sons and presents him with the coat of many colors?. "She'd laugh at his witty comment as he'd loved whenever she laughs like it held a harmonic sound to it.
Mahina pleaded with Mamma to just talk with Ezra's brother wich she didn't want to and felt that Ash should make the call but before she could even talk to Ash there was a ring to the front door. Mahina peeked through the window and the man standing there was exactly as Ezra described. She asked Mamma again and begged her to talk with Alvin. She gave her an earful and against what she felt she answered the door, screaming at Alvin.
'Boy! You can't come in 'ere! You drop what you 'ave for her and give me the message and be on yer way!"
You don't want to cross Mamma, she protects all pack and is a force to be reckon with. She waited for the man to drop what he had and say what he needed. Before handing him a empty duffle bag and some keys.
You tell that brother of yours he is ta go ta her condo, get enough clothes to fill tat. Also her cellphone, diary, laptop and picture frames on her nightstand and return 'ere wit 'em. Ain't 'avin no girl runnin' her mouth no more on not 'avin anythin. An' don't cha sass me boy, do as I say."
