Having had, perhaps, one of the strangest experiences in his young wereleopard life, valcrist decided to shrug it off. It was time to get ready to meet the Nimir-ra and Eric, his other companion. The flight from the Big Island wasnt, at all, an all-day affair like most flights usually are. 30 minutes tops, in fact, just in time for lunch. The mini-plane landed and valcrist was quickly ushered out. Thankfully, he only had one carry-on, as, well, most of his stuff was back at the hotel. With carry-on, in hand, a taxi was already waiting for him outside. Getting into the backseat, valcrist didnt actually speak about the mini-trip, at all. Normally, something like this was a story just waiting to be told, but...well, Valcrist figured the taxi-driver heard and saw enough things in his life.

Pulling up to the Hilton Hawaiian Village hotel, Valcrist was greeted with one of the most unique sights. The hotel, itself, was a refreshing mix of old, classic wealth, and ancient Hawaiian culture. Lush, tropical plants were there to greet the eye, and a plethora of guests coming and going, were busy doing just that. Hula dancers and bellhops were also there to greet each guest as they came and went. Indeed, the islands, especially this one, were simply a unique experience. His inner beast felt a sudden calmness wash over, therefore, giving Valcrist the same experience. The taxi driver was handsomely paid. After all, before the Nimir-ra took her business trip to wherever she went, she was certainly kind enough to leave valcrist quite a bit of spending money, since the Hookah had closed its doors for the final time. Yup, most of the denizens of salem had simply packed up and left. Valcrist was now beginning to see why. This was TRULY, Paradise.... As he made his way through the hotel, one of the locals....a woman wearing a red dress, accompanied by dancers, was the second sight to catch his attention. Just then...a feeling of familiarity came over the young wereleopard, causing his eyes to widen and his eybrows to raise......it was the same girl who had asked him for a ride..."No! no no no! It cant be!" .

Valcrist simply just shook his head as the lady walked by. She looked in his direction, giving him a knowing smile before she proceeded along the lobby, disappearing into the crowd along with the dancers. Valcrist thought to follow this intriguing lady, but...well, he figured he'd better get some rest and wait on Patsy or Eric to call. He had left Eric and Patsy a message on their prospective cell phones, giving both of them the room number and phone number of the Hotel. Pretty soon, they would both be coming, well, hopefully, at any rate. Slinging the carry-on over his shoulders, he proceeded down the lobby and towards the elevators......

Waimea Falls

Feet were planted firmly on the edge of the cliff as he looked down. Eyes were closed as the sounds of the waterfall echoed across the small landscape. He could hear the voices of the various tourists and diving instructors, basically letting the environment sink in. "Brah, you aint goin crazy, yeah? Pay attention!" Shaking his head, he turned to his own instructor "Yeah...sorry about that, what were you saying again?" The instructor, looking at val as if he had some sort of attention disorder, simply shook his head before he spoke again. "Brah, I only gonna say dis one time, you gotta keep your body straight on da way down, yea. Once you come close to da poo' down d'ea, you get straight like pencil, letting your toes or fingahs be da one ta guide you in. Odda-wise we gonna be pickin you up in pieces, yeah" Valcrist smiled as he spoke "Sorry, a lots on my mind" Folding his arms, the instructor spoke, that pidgeon accent very thick, and heavy "You one strange Haole, yeah....You bettah cle'a yo mind before you go do d'is..." With that said, the instructor took a step back as he looked on at his protege of the day. He was lean and muscular, very tan complexion, and eyes of blue. His hair was shoulder length, well, would be if he didnt keep it up in a pony tail. Those blue eyes widened a bit while his brow rose. "Watchu lookin at, brah, get goin!" Okay, so it was clear within his body actions that, yeah, he was feeling a little lost without his Nimir-ra and companion, but that still wouldnt stop him from enjoying his time on the island. Valcrist took a crouching position, right at the edge of the cliff as he looked down to survey where he would HOPEFULLY be landing at, then at the vast green jungle-like forest that surrounded the waterfall. Indeed, this truly was beautiful nature at its finest. Straightening his body, Valcrist closed his eyes for the final time, in that moment...then took a leap of faith off the cliff................

Things had been going a little crazy lately, what with all the recent murders, arrests, and...well, just about any kind of mayhem one could think. It was time for another vaction, and Valcrist took just that. By himself. He figured Patsy had seen just about enough of his moping-like attitude. It was all due to that little snake situation back at a place you would think relaxation would easily be found. Yes, leave it up to a snake to ruin a place like Nirvana. At any rate, Patsy told him perhaps it was best that he went on a little vacation. Taking her advice, he knew just the Island too. Back to Oahu. He packed light, not taking much as he soon took a cab to the Big Island's small airfield......

After an hour's flight, he touched down on land at the Honolulu International airport. As always, baggage claim was always a bitch, then again, when was it NOT a pain in the ass? After another hour of wasted time, valcrist FINALLY found his bag, double checking to make sure it was actually his, then departed for the front doors, hailing a taxi. "Waikiki, Sir.....Hilton Hawaiian Village...." Patsy, with her magnanomous ways of spoiling her little poodle, had secured him a luxurious suite overlooking the beach. Indeed, she certainly made paradise to be exactly that. Things were about to take a turn for the better, he thought to himself as he finally unpacked his things then went to make a call. Picking up the reciever, he dialed the number......

"Hey Patsy, just wanted to let you know I made it. Everything was fine, no trouble with the suite....and........I--i-......Thanks for the vacation, Mistress..." With that, he hung up the phone, sighing a deep sigh of relief. Having been patsy's poodle, one would think the initial nervousness of worshipping the leopard queen would go away. HOwever, that was not the case with valcrist, as he still found that woman to be an intimidating force. Shaking his head for the moment, he opened the curtains to his room, then stepped outside to the balcony, overlooking the beach, then simply began watching the sun fade into the horizon, contemplating on what his activities were going to be during this little trip.......

Aloha Stadium Flea Market

It was noon by the time the taxi pulled up to the chain-link fence, leading into what looked to be some sort of flea market. It was a nice 85-90 degrees. Sun shining bright overhead, indicating it was about noon. Valcrist got out of the taxi and paid the man. Todays attire consisted of one of those button-up, armani-designed, white collared oxford shirts and a pair of floral designed board shorts. Sunglasses remained wrapped around his eyes as he took into seeing the sights and enjoying the scents. it was a heady mixture of sweat, food being prepared, basically anything to intoxicate a were-creature such as he, it made his beast purr with delight, so fascinated by the mixture of scents. What stuck out the most was the familiar scent of koa wood, which seemed to be the material of most of Ace's products. Finally, Valcrist passed through the gate and ventured deeper into the large gathering.

Tents of all kinds were set on display, forming nice, evened-out aisles, crammed full of all sorts of beings. Lycans, people, children. It was a mish mash of all things living, gathered in one place. The Flea Market, itself, consisted of merchandise geared towards tourists much like Valcrist. Replicas of the ancient Gods of the Islands, carved into small figurines at one tent. Another, beautiful, lush, tropical-designed tapestries, and of course, an assorted array of toys for the youngsters and clothing of Local designs. It was all an interesting thing to see......

By the time he was finally finished, the sun was setting. Indeed, it seemed like patsy's shopping habits were beginning to rub off on the young wereleopard, as he was carrying all sorts of bags, filled with all things hawaiian. Indeed, it was Val's turn to spoil his queen. Well, he hoped she would like the figurines, the busts, and a few tapestries of tropical design. It wasnt long before he got back to the hotel, paying the taxi driver and having the bellhop assist him with bringing the bags up to his room. As he tipped the bellhop, val decided to settle in for the night. He left the curtains to the patio open and let the sounds of the waves crashing against the shore lull him to sleep......
