A message for the master
Permalink Closed

Roman had spent the last week attempting to reach the Khan of the Tigers, a message here and there.  He'd also left messages with the master's cell phone as well, letting him know of his own lack of progress, as well as his actions to attempt to make progress.  He wasn't going to be faulted for delaying again, or not being proactive, he vowed to himself as he picked up his cell phone once more.

It wasn't for those reasons that he was calling Marcus this time.  Rather it was because of an encounter he'd had at a bar that night.  Smiling at the energetic small bit of blood he'd tasted, he dialed the master's number.

"Good evening my master,  I encountered a man last night at a bar.  His name was Xantos.  He passed a warning to leave the local coven alone, as well as a desire to meet you, to me.  I am relaying that message.  The man is a witch and works in the city commissioner's office."  Signing off with a promise to continue to attempt to reach the Khan, he hung up.

:::Marcus received the message from Roman with the ghost of a smile on his face. It was good to know that Salem was finally drawing witches in again, but the barely veiled threat was less than appreciated. Reclining into the cushion of his office's winged back chair he thought over what the right move would be. Amber eyes idly fixated on the chess board that sat against one wall. First a call would be returned to Roman so that the man didn't fret:::

"Roman, does the wolf fret when it is stung by a wasp? Do not let this mans threats worry you, all will be managed one way or another. Perhaps if reason does not work I shall send Absynthe to welcome him to our fair city. As to your meeting with Adam, he is a King in his own world and as such his time is not always his to dole out. Give him time, and I am sure he will get back to you as soon as he can. Until then, you can do a job for me. I will leave a package at the front of Bliss with Bruno, pick it up and deliver it to Thirteen Moons."

:::The package was something he had already prepared for Blaise, things that had been left behind by Leilani, powerful magical items that might be of importance to her and her work. The timing was perfect actually. Killing two birds with one stone. Lifting the phone a second time he called the cell phone number that Blaise had left for him. :::

"Signora Harmon, this is Marcus, I am most sorry that I am just now able to get back to you about your request. The package is even as we speak on its way to a messenger who will be delivering it to you. As to the other matter I would adore a chance to meet with you. As fate would have it I believe you shall find me most amiable to your offer as things are right now. Let me know when is a convenient time for us to meet."

Roman actually smiled at the message.  Phoning back when he rose that night, he let Marcus know he appreciated the return call and that he would do as bid.  Then he dressed and went to find the package.  Swingging over to Bliss after the classes at the dojo had been seen to.  He spent a brief bit of time with Faith before he left, pleased to see her as she helped him get over a bit of the funk he'd been in recently.  Leaving her with word that he would meet her again another time, he headed for Club Bliss finally.

Picking the package up from Bruno, he looked curiously at it then shrugged dismissively, letting it go.  Carrying it with him, he went back out to the dark streets of Salem to deliver his package as bid.  Fetch and carry might be a lowly task, but at least it gave him something to do for the Master, he reflected wryly.  Walking the streets towards Thirteen Moons, he considered what he'd end up having to do for the Khan.  He'd left his message and Marcus was aware that he'd done his part.  When Adam had time for him, he was sure that he'd be seen to.

-Blaise could be found as usual, tucked away in the back room of Thirteen Moons mumbling to herself about cleansing spells. The back room that Leilani had left in such a state was becoming an overwhelming obsession for her. Something she spent most of her free hours toying with. She felt that there was something important here in all of this macabre equipment if only she could find the answers somehow. Her sleek black hair was coiffed into a tight bun at the back of her head, several pencils stuck through for safe keeping since she kept losing them. Even now there wass one between her teeth being idly chewed as she read through one of the Tibetan Books of the Dead that had been left on a shelf. When she heard the bell ring signalling someone having come inside she called out.-

"Just a moment"

-Putting everything back ito some semblance of order she stood and stretched the kinks out of her legs before exiting into the store proper, always careful to lock the door behind her. When she saw the man standing in the door her power rippled and a vision of he walking dead flickered through her head. Not a necromancer...no, vampire maybe. Moving towards him she flicked her hand towards the candles on the counter and they ignited in a slow rolling way that spoke of the subtle control she had over her power.-

"Can I help you?"

Roman had beeing speaking with Sera who was at the front of the store when Blaise came out front.  He shifted to face the new arrival and bowed his head slightly, "Bon soire...  I bring a package from the master."  He replied to her, gesturing tot he package ont he table that Sera had only just taken posession of.

His green eyes moved down to the candles as they slowly lit and he smiled a bit.  A nice touch.  "I do not intend to impose, or stay long.  I have done my duty to the master."  He bowed his head slightly to both then shifted to turn for the door.
