~The living room was decadent, a place where everyone gathered to be together, buttonight things were different. Shakti and Marcus had been left behind as Barbie, Milo, Ash, Patsy and whoever elde hand run off to Atlantic City. When Marcus can home he seemed calm, as though the whole thing didn't bother him, but Shakti wasn't letting it go so easily. She paced the carpet in the living room. After all, she had been the one who had had to deal with Milo and Patsy on the phone when they'd called earlier.~
*You know what gets me, it's how some of us will aways be the parents of the world and others will always be the children.*
~As she spoke she walked the same tred in the carpet that she had walked a bundred times befor and as she came to the end of it she leaned one small hip against Marcus's desk, those violet and gold flesked eyes watching him as those he held the secret she was seeking in her eyes.~
"Now you and I are the parents, I mean we just go through the great big dustpan of life just cleaning up after everyone else, now Milo is a child. Patsy and Brady and somewhere in between but when they get together with Milo they're children too."
Marcus looked up from his papers and gave her one of those calm smiles she had grown to know so well, "What's your point?" He asked with humor in his voice.
"I don't know," Shakti has as she absently riffled through the papers on his desk. "I guess I'm just feeling old, because we're the vampires. So I'm tired of being the more responsible one's. I mean notice they didn't call us in the middle of the night to go to Atlantic City."
"Thats because they knew we wouldn't " Oh it was frustrating how logical Marcus could make things sound.
Meanwhile, in the next room, Valcrist did a bit of pacing as well as he overheard a female voice in the living room of the lighthouse. A bit curious, the young wereleopard went to the entrance of the living room, yet remained leaning against the frame of the entrance; keeping himself quiet as he watched the female vampire pace about, and then finally came to lean against the desk where Master Marcus was seated. Indeed, within the young wereleopard's mine, these were two of the most beautiful creatures he had ever seen. He finally became adjusted to lighthouse living, not exactly leaving the lighthouse except at daytime, when Master Marcus slept. He was going to ask Master Marcus about getting a job in between being in service to the old-world-style vampire, but as he caught the sight of the other vampire in the room, he silenced himself as he smiled warmly at her before turning around and heading outside into the night air, listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the rock.
:::Opening the french doors that led out to the balcony he breathed in the air with a sigh. The wind brushed through the trees, leaves shaking in a rustling rhythmn....a night bird gave it's cry in the air, plaintive and low...and the nights music swelled with his power like a tempest. Those eyes so sadly sweet watched Valcrist as he moved towards him. That silky dark hair of the leopards fell across his face, so that he had to reach down. His hands soft and warm where delicate fingers gently brushed the young mans hair backfrom his face, silken strands sliding against his skin until he could see his eyes...could truly look at him. The palm of one hand cupped the gentle curve of his cheek feeling how delicate his skin was, and his power plunged into the man stroking the sides of his beast in a comforting embrace.:::
"So tell me il mio figlio, after your first week here do you find yourself happy in my city? And in Patsy's tender care?"
:::Marcus had not been able to spend as much time with the boy as he might have wished, but after their first meeting he had been taken with him. Which was why in his native tongue he called him son. Valcrist tugged at a part of his heart that had always desired to care for people around him. Hard to tell whether that was just part of Marcus, or part of having been a devote priest for so long. Either way he wanted to know everything that Valcrist had been up to, and if he was happy. If he wasn't then Marcus would do what he could to change things.:::
Tonight was definitely a good night for contemplation as the young wereleopard leaned against the railing, enjoying, and relaxing within the music that had been a typical atmosphere around the lighthouse. Calming, peaceful, the sound of waves crashing against rock had also given it a nice majestic feeling, along with the sounds of nature. Valcrist inhaled deep of the night air, tasting that salty sea breeze as he watched the horizon before him. Soon, the sound of the door had opened as he turned his head for but a moment. After seeing who it was, valcrist turned to face Master Marcus as his back soon took up home, leaning against the railing once again. A cordial smile of greetings was offered, followed by that respectful, slave-like nod of his head.
Valcrist couldnt help but nestle his cheek in that of a loving son would, against that soft, caressing palm that had cupped his face so lovingly "Im really beginning to feel like I really belong.....Thank you, Master....I thank you and Patsy from the bottom of my heart" Of course, he would smile as he, himself, muttered the name of his other Mistress, Patsy. Even in her own way, she had seemed to really go out on a limb, so to speak, to make his stay as comfortable as possible. In fact, most of his Mistresses hadn't really treated him the way he had been treated thus far by Marcus and Patsy, which was........well, normal, for once in his life. "I've finally been able to obtain a position over at the Ulfric's place of business, that nice little Hookah joint in the town square. I've brought some of the paperwork, and I could definitely use some of your help with some of it, Master" Of course, as always, he was very polite with his tone, very undemanding as he pushed off against the railing to come and stand next to marcus. "Again.....Marcus......I really do thank you for everything that you have done for me, and should you see Mistress Patsy before I get the chance to, would you tell her the same?"
