The night could not have gone any worse when they had been at the Bronze Cauldron with the others. Although he met Paul, but nothing more then his name Colin had ended up slightly off base. Mainly it was because Lilly left the bar with tears in her eyes. Yes it would bother him, but all he wanted to do was make it better.
The night that he wanted to keep her warm the most and dry away her tears he just couldn't bring himself to stay in the same bed. The ride to Lilly's house had been quite dangerous after the rigorous training of his mind and powers just to control the beast and the power that now flowed within him. Yes it was hard to drive but even harder to keep the two gifts from flying off.
Shutting off the motorcycle in the driveway next to Lilly's jeep Colin crept around the house to the unlocked back door. Creeping as quietly as the young were-tiger could he slipped into Lilly's room. Setting the small stuffed tiger on her bed with a red thorn less rose next to it. Going throughout the house to find a notepad and a pen he writes out a le tter set on the bed under the rose.
It read: Lilly, I know I could never understand how you feel when I am with Gabrielle just know that the way I feel for her compares in no way to the adoration I feel for you. Gabrielle is my mentor, teacher, and protector like a big sister. You have become a much more important part of my life then that. I hope you accept these gifts from me. I will give you the space you want. Remember though you have become something to me that I never thought I would find in Salem. Your biggest admirer, Colin Hill
Now exhuasted from the night he knew that he couldn't make the drive home on the motorcycle but leaving the room he wandered to the lower level of the home. Locking the door that he came in Colin found the closest couch and collapsed into it. Hoping he would wake up and be gone before Lilly came downstairs.
The night at Bronze Cauldron had been hell on that little Bradshaw's heart. She had no idea how she felt about Gabby and Colin - she understood she was his Queen, but does a Queen have the right to almost fondle your boyfriend... right in front of you? And yes, Lillian understood that lycans were very touchy people and she did not mind that. But the kisses and the little nuzzles... that got to her. Either way she was fast asleep when Colin came over and continued to sleep like a little baby when he walked, in dropped off the presents and left.
She slept in that morning and did not wake until after ten that morning. Apparently, unconcious to her, she grabbed the tiger in her sleep and awoke with the stuffed animal in her arms. It was a slap of surprise to her pretty little face until she took a deep inhale of the air around her - the animal was tainted with Colin's smell. It made her smile. And then she saw the rose, followed by the note. It damned near brought her to tears. With the tiger in her hands, whom she christened Sinclair, Lillian hurried down stairs to see if Colin was there. He wasn't but the air was tinged with his presence. A deep exhale followed by yet another squeeze to Sinclar. Lili automatically forgave him and that was it. Nothing else about it.
Afterward she went about fixing the rose so it could fit in a neat little glass by her bed. All day long she went about with a smile on her face.
